Why Jordan?

Jordan is a beautiful and unique nation in the Middle East. King Abdullah has good relationships with leaders from the West and East alike. Because of this Jordan has become an island of peace in an otherwise volatile area and a safe haven for millions of refugees from Palestine and Iraq.

Jordan is a great first step into the Arab World. Amman, the capital city, is split into East and West. In the East you will get a taste of the old Arab world, very traditional, great local food and traditional hospitality. In the West you will enjoy meeting global youth, drinking a coffee at Starbucks and being able to buy any western product you could find at home!

Perhaps the best thing about doing your school in Jordan is that the school will be held in Arabic and English. This will be an incredible opportunity for non- Arab students to make friends with your fellow Arab students and to be exposed to the Arab language and culture.

Assalamu alaikum! (Peace be upon you!) Greetings from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan!

We are excited to announce the next post-DTS school in Jordan.

When?

The theory phase of the school will run from September – December, 2011, with a following two year practical phase.

What’s the aim of the school?

We believe in the Church being a blessing to the whole Arab world. Through the SOGM, you'll learn about Arab culture and religion, and how to best meet the practical and spiritual needs of these beautiful people.
